Great sites to explore : Vulcania, Parc Animalier d’Auvergne, Puy de Sancy, Panoramique des Dômes
We work with many local partners with whom we’ve enjoyed working for several years. It’s not easy to introduce you to their activities, because so many of them know how to make you love the Auvergne, and our mascot Yellito won’t tell you otherwise!
– GAEC de l’Oiseau farm : Those who have visited it will tell you what an exceptional site it is. As well as discovering how our delicious Saint-Nectaire cheese is made, you’ll meet a family of enthusiasts. This free tour is for all the family.
• ABS QUAD : Bob offers quad biking in the heart of the volcanoes all year round! There’s something for everyone, from family outings to “milking the cows” tours, with a tasty snack just the way we like it. You’re in for a treat!
– Les Ruchers du Sancy : Thanks to their beehives in the heart of the Sancy, you’ll be able to taste authentic, quality honey. Situated less than 10 minutes from the campsite, take part in a free guided tour of the site and visit the shop to spoil your loved ones with a jar of honey, sweets, nougat, skincare products, etc.

– A pony or horse ride in the heart of nature: It sounds like a dream, but that’s exactly what Les Galopins du Sancy, a group of horse-riding enthusiasts, can offer you. From acrobatics during a riding lesson to a family trail ride, all you have to do is let yourself go! A must: Pony mornings! Dedicated to children aged between 4 and 12, this activity can be a victim of its own success, so remember to book before your stay.
• Panoramique des Dômes : Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2018, and the highest volcano in the Puys chain, the Puy-de-Dôme is THE site to visit! In just 15 minutes, the Panoramique des Dômes train will take you to the summit for a 360° view of the chain of volcanoes and the Limagne fault: the only one of its kind in the world!
– Saint-Nectaire educational park : Less than 10 minutes from the campsite, a large educational park will introduce you to little-known or little-known species: kangaroo, myocastor, wallaby, llama, marmot… A superb site, without bars, where the public mingle with the animals to the delight of young and old alike!
• Parc Animalier d’Auvergne : The Parc Animalier d’Auvergne is home to over 350 animals and 65 different species: lions, tigers, red pandas, Tibetan black bears, snow leopards, Canadian wolves and giraffes. Set in an exceptional 26-hectare natural site, these animals will leave both young and old in awe. Yet another great reason to come and visit Auvergne!
